The Role of Family or Companion
Your family or
companion can provide a vital supporting role during your surgery
experience. Please discuss the following instructions with the
appropriate person before your surgery
On the day of your
surgery, a family member or companion should accompany you.
Your family member
or companion must check in at the registration desk, second floor
lobby.
After surgery, your
doctor will speak to you and your family or companion in the
surgery lobby or in the recovery room.
One family member
or companion may stay with you in the recovery area until you are
ready to go home.
